The MP5 is a german SMG known for its tested and reliable design. Its most commonly seen on "good guys" in action movies and that might be the same in real life also. It was made due to problems with the M1903 revolver when serving with the philippine army. Since the M1903 was a revolver, it had a slow loading time and didn't hold much ammunition. The M1911 was issued and found great success. It was chambered in .45 ACP, also known as the lords caliber. The previous revolvers werent powerful enough to down an enemy in one shot but the M1911's new caliber fixed this problem.
