The M1911 is an american pistol designed by John Moses Browning. Made famous for serving in two world wars, it was designed in 1911 and is still kicking ass to this day. It was made due to problems with the M1903 revolver when serving with the philippine army. Since the M1903 was a revolver, it had a slow loading time and didn't hold much ammunition. The M1911 was issued and found great success. It was chambered in .45 ACP, also known as the lords caliber. The previous revolvers werent powerful enough to down an enemy in one shot but the M1911's new caliber fixed this problem.
